Senior Java Developer - Electronic Trading and Risk Management Systems

FTEN, Inc. ( http://www.ften.com ), a fast growing financial services firm providing electronic
equity trading and risk management systems, is creating an additional development team for a new
family of products.

real-time systems for the financial markets?

as Intraday RiskXposure(TM).

FTEN is expanding its Colorado team and is interested in individuals with the following skills:

Client/Server side Java-

- At least five years of Java development, with a strong knowledge of the standard libraries.

- Experience developing real-time systems that process high volumes for a sustained period (e.g. our
Intraday RiskXposure? processes ~10k trades/second sustained).

Non-Java Skills

The market moves fast...as so do we. We build top quality software by leveraging highly talented
personnel, rapid development, and rapid feedback.

- Good understanding of databases and their performance characteristics.

- Willingness to participate in an Agile/RAD development environment.

- Understand and internalize the need for high quality unit, integration, system, and regression
testing.

- Take responsibility for the code you develop when it is in production... you will be expected to
support the applications you develop. We don't just '.throw it over the wall'

- The desire to have an incredible time working with people as creative as you.
