Component Distributors, Inc. is currently seeking a Jr. Level VB Developer

Component Distributors Inc currently has an opportunity in our Denver office
for a Software Developer.

The job purpose is to design, develop, and support Web and Windows based
tools and applications for internal business use and for external customers.
Understand and execute all phases of the software lifecycle from design
through delivery. Communicate with user community to gain understanding of
requirements and issues. Prioritize projects and daily work in alignment
with company strategy and contractual commitments.

Application Development: Participate in requirements analysis, design and
implement new projects and features. Integrate and create interfaces with
third party applications or processes as required. Collaborate with peers on
standards development, design, code review, testing and standards
development.

Maintenance and User Support: Troubleshoot reported defects, exceptions and
issues related to software performance. Evaluate defect severity and
determine resolution path. Communicate resolution to user community as
needed.

Software Delivery: Ensure that new deliveries or upgrades are deployed with
minimal disruption to business operations. Adhere to configuration
management guidelines and standards.

Education: Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field.
Experience: 3-5 years software development experience, relational database
experience, Windows application development experience, Web application
development experience.
IIS, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Visual Basic 6.0
Preferred skills for Software Developer: Problem solving ability, strong
verbal and written communication skills.
