Available Positions -- Software Engineer -- SPATIALinfo

Based in Denver, Colorado, SPATIALinfo provides network data management software solutions to the global telecommunications and utilities industries.

Several full-time positions are currently open for entry level software engineers to assist in employment of our solutions, and the development of our web-based mapping and network analysis products.

Job Responsibilities**

  • Implement web server based mapping and network management software solutions using the Microsoft .NET platform (C# and ASP.NET) and Oracle Spatial databases.
  • Design and implement user interfaces using graphical design tools such as Photoshop
  • Work closely with senior developers on the design and development of the SPATIALweb software product. * * Analyze customer support issues, provide application support, and write resolution documentation for use by first level customer support staff.
  • Assist in the migration of data from third party systems into the SPATIALinfo software format.
  • Assist in the deployment, customization, extension, and support of SPATIALinfo's SPATIALnet product suite.
  • Pre-sales engineering

Experience and Skills

  • Must demonstrate strong programming skills in HTML, JavaScript?, XML and the Microsoft .NET platform (C# and ASP.NET).
  • Some experience with web server development and deployment architectures using ASP.NET and IIS is required.
  • Understanding of Object Oriented design principles is required.
  • Must understand relational databases and be able to develop SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with the Oracle database platform is highly desirable.
  • A good understanding of geometry and/or experience with mapping and GIS applications would be beneficial.
  • Other highly desirable skills include knowledge of Oracle Spatial, PL/SQL, SVG and XHTML.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Some experience with graphic design or a flair for art will be required for one of the available positions – much of the work involves presenting complicated telecommunications network information graphically in clear and easy to understand way. Please note that this is not a web designer position however.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop.

Educational Requirements

  • Recent college or university graduates with a bachelors level computer science or software engineering degree.
  • Equivalent industry experience (2-3 years) is also acceptable.

Citizenship Requirements

  • These positions are open to US citizens, lawful permanent residents, and any suitably qualified applicants who do not require immigration sponsorship by SPATIALinfo in order to be eligible to work in the United States. SPATIALinfo will only consider applicants who are unable to meet this requirement under exceptional circumstances.

Geographical and Travel Requirements

  • All positions are based in Denver, Colorado. However, SPATIALinfo may consider applicants who wish to work remotely.
  • A relocation allowance is not offered with any of the available positions but may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
  • Successful applicants will be required to travel both within North America, and overseas. The amount of time spent traveling is negotiable, and will vary depending on work requirements.
